Signs your Teen may need counselling:

  • Demonstrates excessive worry about the future
  • Losing interest in activities that previously brought them pleasure
  • Isolating from family/friends
  • Sleep difficulties and/or loss of appetite
  • Talks about or engages in self-harm
  • Making statements like “I wish I wasn’t here”
  • Expressing hopelessness and worries about the future
  • Stops going to school
  • Feelings of anxiety
  • Feeling bad about him/herself. Lack of confidence/self-esteem
  • Talks about suicide
